RCM module option

RCM module operational requirements

When using the IPMI ports to connect a server to a network, the network must operate at a speed of 1
Gb/s. The server will not be able to connect to a network that is operating at a speed of 10/100 Mb/s or 10
Gb/s.
Do not use both IPMI ports to connect a server to a network. When one IPMI port is connected to the
network, the other IPMI port only can be used as a connection to a second enclosure. Having both ports
connected to a network at the same time results in a loopback condition
To enable connection from the IPMI ports to the server BMC, position the server system maintenance S4
switch to the On position. For the location of the system maintenance S4 switch, see System board
components on the server user guide (http://www.hpe.com/info/apollo70-docs).
