SETUP CGS

5.8.4
[See
section 3.3.2.3
for detail related to CG1, CG2, and RLY A and RLY B wiring connections]
- RLY A LO TRP [Factory default = 1.00 -1 TORR] TRP is the menu abbreviation for TRIP or SETPOINT
This setpoint corresponds to the turn on point for the CG1 relay. The relay will turn on when the pressure
measured from CG1 drops below this setting. Note - When using the front panel selection keys, if you try to
set the RLY A LO TRP point to a value higher than RLY A HI TRP value, the IGM402 will revert back to the
original RLY A LO TRP value. To do this correctly so that the IGM402 will accept the new setting for the RLY A
LO TRP, you must first select the RLY A HI TRP (listed below) and increase that value to a number higher than
the value of RLY A LO TRP you are trying to set. The lowest setpoint pressure value that you may set is 1.0E-
03 Torr. The maximum setpoint pressure allowed is 1000 Torr.
- RLY A HI TRP [Factory default = 2.00E-1 TORR]
This setpoint corresponds to the turn off point for the CG1 relay. The relay will turn off when the pressure
measured from CG1 rises above this setting. Note - When using the front panel selection keys, if you try to
set the RLY A HI TRP point to a value lower than RLY A LO TRP value, the IGM402 will revert back to the
original RLY A HI TRP value. To do this correctly so that the IGM402 will accept the new setting for the RLY A
HI TRP, you must first select the RLY A LO TRP listed above and decrease that value to a number lower than
the value of RLY A HI TRP you are trying to set. The lowest setpoint pressure value that you may set is 1.0E-
03 Torr. The maximum setpoint pressure allowed is 1000 Torr.
- RELAY A TEST [Factory default = OFF]
This allows the user to manually toggle the relay on and off to test for correct external circuit wiring and
ensure polarity is as desired. If relay is energized due to assigned CG pressure reading being below the RLY A
LO TRP setpoint, it may be cycled from ON to OFF by pressing the  and  keys when using this function .
- RLY B LO TRP [Factory default = 1.00E-1 TORR]
This setpoint corresponds to the turn on point for the CG2 relay. The relay will turn ON when the pressure
measured from the CG2 drops below this setting. Use same setting guidelines stated above for RLY A LO
TRP.
- RLY B HI TRP [Factory default = 2.00E-1 TORR]
This setpoint corresponds to the turn off point for the CG2 relay. The relay will turn OFF when the pressure
measured from the CG2 rises above this setting. Use same setting guidelines stated above for RLY A HI TRP.
- RELAY B TEST [Factory default = OFF]
This allows the user to manually toggle the relay on and off to test for correct external circuit wiring and
ensure polarity is as desired. If relay is energized due to assigned CG pressure reading being below the RLY B
LO TRP setpoint, it may be cycled from ON to OFF by pressing the  and  keys when using this function .
2
In the SETUP CGS descriptive narrative of this section 5.8.4., the default settings are assumed, where RLY A is assigned to CG1 and RLY B is assigned to
CG2. See ASSIGN RLY A/B instructions related to changing the assignment of either relay A/B to either CG1/CG2.
