1. Turn the power off and
disconnect the power cord
from the main power source.
2. Insert the hex wrench
(729317) or a similar tool
into the openings on each
side of the centrifuge
(see Figure 4-1) to release
the top front panel.

WARNING
Any maintenance procedure requiring
removal of a panel exposes the operator to
the possibility of electrical shock and/or
mechanical injury. Therefore, turn the power
off and disconnect the instrument from the
main power source, and refer such mainte-
nance to service personnel.
In the event of an extended power failure, it may be necessary to
override the door-locking mechanism manually to remove the rotor
and retrieve your sample.
