Configuring AAA Authentication Methods for 802.1X

You can use remote RADIUS servers for 802.1X authentication. You must configure RADIUS servers and
RADIUS server groups and specify the default AAA authentication method before the Cisco NX-OS device
can perform 802.1X authentication.
Before you begin
Obtain the names or addresses for the remote RADIUS server groups.
SUMMARY STEPS
1. configure terminal
2. aaa authentication dot1x default group group-list
3. exit
4. (Optional) show radius-server
5. (Optional) show radius-server group [group-name]
6. (Optional) copy running-config startup-config
Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Enables the 802.1X feature. The default is disabled.
Exits configuration mode.
Displays the 802.1X feature status.
Copies the running configuration to the startup
configuration.
