PEEK Nut

* Note: The needle is designed
to be biased toward the front
of the guide hole, located
in the lower needle mount
block.
Needle Arm and Needle Assembly
1.
Using a flat-blade screwdriver (turn counter-clockwise
ONLY), slightly lower the needle arm to make room for
using the wrench in Step 4.
2.
Unsrew the PEEK nut at the top of the needle assembly
and remove the protective cap from needle tip.
3.
Position the needle into the arm, lowering the tip
through the lower mount block, and pushing the top of
the assembly upware and into the upper mount block.
4.
Secure with the nut (placed over the washer), and
tighten with 1/2" open-end wrench. Be careful NOT to
over-tighten the nut.
5.
Screw the PEEK nut (with the sample tubing attached)
back into the threaded mount of the needle assembly
until it is finger tight. DO NOT over-tighten the nut.
6.
Using a flat-blade screwdriver, raise the arm back into
place.

Connecting Directly to a Computer
1.
Connect the GE Autosampler to the Analyzer using the
provided USB-to-Serial cable.
2.
Connect the Analyzer to a network using a straight-thru
Ethernet cable or directly to a computer using a cross-
over Ethernet cable.
3.
Insert the power cord into the GE Autosampler and then
connect to a grounded power outlet.
STEP 10: Install the Web-Based User Interface
Refer to the "GE Autosampler User Interface" chapter in the Sievers
InnoOx Laboratory TOC Analyzer Operation and Maintenance Manual.
