Upgrade Firmware with a USB Storage Device

3 Make these selections:
a In theProduct Category list, select Printers.
b In the Product Family list, select Desktop Printers.
c In the Product list, select your printer model (PC23d, PC43d,
or PC43t).
4 Click Submit. A list of downloads for the printer appears.
5 In the OS/Firmware/Drivers section, locate the firmware for your
printer and click the file name to start downloading the firmware.
You may need to login to download the firmware.
6 <ASSUMING THE FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD IS A ZIP FILE>
Extract the contents of the Zip file to your PC. Do not change the
directory structure.
This procedure explains how to upgrade the printer firmware using a
USB storage device.
For best results, Intermec recommends using a USB storage device that contains
no other files.
1 Download the printer firmware from the Intermec website.
2 Copy the firmware to the root of a USB storage device.
3 Insert the USB storage device into one of the USB Device ports.
4 Restart the printer. The upgrade file is loaded into the printer
memory. This may take several minutes.
For the LCD printer, an upgrade message appears. After the file is
loaded, this screen appears:

For the icon printer, Intermec recommends you allow at least
fifteen minutes for the upgrade file to load. After fifteen minutes,
continue with the next step.
