Before restarting your computer

Chapter 4, Installing Your DigiSuite LX MAX Hardware
Connecting your MAX card to a Matrox G450 or
G550 card
Attach the free end of your
VIP cable to the connector
near the top edge of your
G450 or G550 display
card. The red edge of the
cable should be on the side
closest to the card bracket.

Connecting your MAX card to a Matrox G400 card

If necessary, twist the free
end of your VIP cable a full
180 degrees so that its
connector pins line up with
those of the rightmost of the
two connectors near the top
edge of your G400 card. The
red edge of the cable should
be on the side furthest away
from the card bracket.

You must connect your external devices such as VTRs, DV camcorder,
etc., before attempting to restart your computer. The next chapter provides
details about these tasks.
