If you’re purchasing a new system for use with DigiSuite LX MAX, this information can help you choose the best system for your needs. If you already have a computer you intend to use with DigiSuite LX MAX, the recommendations may help you configure your system properly.
Follow the steps below carefully to prepare your system for DigiSuite LX MAX installation. °Important Do not install your DigiSuite LX MAX card set in your system before carrying out a standard Windows 2000 installation and configuring the display as detailed below.
DigiUtils software. Setup is designed to detect and modify these files so that you’ll have a trouble-free installation once you’ve installed your DigiSuite LX MAX. Insert the DigiSuite CD in your CD-ROM drive. From the DigiSuite CD menu, choose Run DigiUtils Setup Setup detects and modifies the initialization files.

Ch apter Installing the DigiSuite LX MAX Software This chapter explains how to install the software required to use DigiSuite LX MAX, and optional software that’s provided with DigiSuite.
°Important Some of the messages that appear onscreen during the detection refer to Matrox display cards, such as the Matrox Mystique. This is because your DigiSuite LX card contains some of the same advanced graphics processing chips as the Mystique, and Windows detects these chips as display cards.
Filter Driver. Select to install the driver. 2. Setting your Matrox MAX display properties During the DigiUtils installation, you’ll be prompted to set your Matrox MAX display properties. °Important You must follow these instructions carefully if your system is to work correctly.
What does DigiUtils Setup install? The DigiUtils Setup program that’s provided on your DigiSuite CD installs the drivers needed to use DigiSuite LX MAX with Video for Windows and DirectShow programs, and also installs the DigiSuite Configuration program, the Matrox File Converter, Matrox MediaTools, Matrox MediaExport, and the Matrox DigiView program.
Installing Video Clipboard for DigiSuite Inscriber Technology’s Video Clipboard for DigiSuite program lets you copy images to DigiSuite LX MAX from any application that supports the shared Windows Clipboard.
