DIAGNOSIS
1. Incorrect mode setting.
2. Transistor on interface has
failed/shorted and is
keeping solenoid on.
3. Air assist valve stuck
open.
1. Product detector loose or
vibrating.
2. Product detector
alignment too marginal or
set too sensitive.
3. Loose wiring connections.
Conveyor running too fast;
products are too closely
spaced.
1. Incorrectly positioned label
sensor.
2. Improperly calibrated label
sensor.
3. Platen roller dirty.
4. Improper printhead
settings.
5. Improperly loaded labels.
6. Incompatible labels.

SOLUTION
Correct.
Replace Interface PCB.
Repair or replace.
Inspect and correct.
Refer to 250 manual for
set-up instructions.
Inspect and request
qualified assistance if
required.
Check machine
specifications for rate
versus size of label being
applied. Slow down
conveyor if necessary.
Assure the label sensor is
properly positioned to read
a single/consistent inter-
label gap.
See "Sensor Threshold
Level" in Sato manual.
Clean the Platen roller.
Adjust the printhead
pressure to assure proper
functionality.
Verify that the labels are
properly loaded labels.
Assure the inter-label gaps
or notches are 2 mm – 4
mm and constantly placed.
