14.3 Assigning a name to a PROFINET IO device online
1. In the "Devices & networks"
editor, right-click on the
required PROFINET IO
device, and select "Online &
diagnostics".
2. In the "Online &
diagnostics" dialog, make the
following menu selections:
• "Functions"
• "Assign name"
Click the "Accessible devices
in the network" icon to display
all of the PROFINET IO
devices on the network.
3. In the list that is displayed,
click the required PROFINET
IO device, and click the
"Assign name" button to write
the name to the PROFINET IO
device configuration memory.
