    Transmitter 9135 - pH measurement in pure water General description of the system for pH measurement in pure water Presentation of the 9135 transmitter The 9135 pH transmitter and associated measuring sensors has been designed for measuring and continuous control of pH or redox potential (with possibility of temperature measurement) in industrial process.

    Transmitter 9135 - pH measurement in pure water Introduction PH Measurement Theory pH is the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion activity and a measure of the acidity, or alkalinity of a solution. pH = -log a [H+] pH is normally measured using a glass electrode and a reference electrode.

    Transmitter 9135 - pH measurement in pure water This high purity water pH sensor is specially designed for continuous in-stream pH measurement of pure and ultra-pure water. It uses a reference electrode very similar to the measuring electrode (combined concentric electrode) in order to minimise the impedance under which the measurement is carried out.

The power supply accepts 100- 240 VAC ± 10 %, without changes in configuration. The terminal block for power connections can be lifted from its header for easier installation.

    Transmitter 9135 - pH measurement in pure water The temperature of the buffer solution needs to be entered only if the transmitter is operated in the manual temperature-compensation mode. In the « automatic calibration » mode the transmitter determines the pH value according to the temperature. In the other calibration modes, the nominal pH values must always be taken into account.
