Chapter 4 Using the Front Panel to Configure the D9887B HDTV Modular Receiver

Network Setup

The D9887B receiver can be setup on a network connection to allow remote
management and SNMP configuration. For these features to work, the network
settings for the D9887B receiver must first be configured properly for the network it
is connected to.

Static IP Address

To setup the D9887B receiver with a static IP address, use the following steps:
1 Press the Menu button.
2 Use the Up and Down buttons to move the cursor to "Network Interface," then
press the Enter button.
Note: The following menu will be present only if the Backup Network Controller
is installed.
3 Use the Up and Down buttons to move the cursor to "Set Default Gw Port," then
press the Enter button.
4 Use the Up and Down buttons to move the cursor to "Default Gw," then press
the Enter button.
5 Use the Up and Down buttons to change the selection to "Ctrl 1" or "Ctrl 2," then
press the Enter button to save the selection.
