Diagnostics
Use the Diagnostics menu to run a Ping diagnostic, which sends a signal to a specific remote unit to
verify that it can receive the signal and reply. See Figure 27.

To access the Ping menu, follow these steps:
1. From the Main Menu, type 5, Diagnostics, and press <Enter>. The Diagnostics menu appears;
see Figure 27.
2. From the Diagnostics menu, type 1, Ping, and press <Enter>. The Ping menu appears; see
Figure 28.
3. At the Ping menu:
a. Type 1, then type the address of the remote unit, and press <Enter>.
b. Type 2, then type the number of Pings to transmit (0-999; 0 is continuous) and press <Enter>.
c. Type 3, Start Pinging. If the link to the remote unit is valid, you can view the round trip time.
4. To stop Ping, press <Esc>.
