3.5.2 Port Spanning Tree Parameters

Use the Port Spanning Tree Parameters report and menu to view and set various STP parameters for a
port on this 9135. See Figure 17 and Tables 14 and 15. To access the Port Spanning Tree Parameters
report and menu, see Figure and follow these steps:
1. From the Main menu, type 2, Switch Configuration and press <Enter>.
2. From the Switch Configuration menu, type 1, Spanning Tree and press <Enter>.
3. From the Spanning Tree menu, type 2, Port Spanning Tree Parameters and press <Enter>.

Set the relative precedence within the STP control structure for the
9135; 1 is the highest priority and 65534 is the lowest. The highest
priority sets the root bridge, the bridge that controls the spanning
tree. If two or more bridges share the same priority, the lowest MAC
address defines the highest priority.
Set how often the 9135 sends BPDUs if this 9135 is the Spanning
Tree root.
Set the time between port state transitions from Learning to Forward
if this bridge is the Spanning Tree root.
Set the Timeout value, how fast the 9135 deletes addresses from the
forwarding database.
