3.4.4 Passwords
The 9135 provides three levels of password protection:
•
Supervisor: highest level, controls all menu functions
•
Manager: middle level, has some write access
•
User: lowest level, mostly read-only, can reset some counters
To set a password, see Figure 12 and follow these steps:
1. From the System menu, type 4, Passwords, and press <Enter>.
2. At the Passwords menu, type the number for a user level and press <Enter>.

Enter a password for SLIP mode, up to 15 characters
Enter the IP address for SLIP mode
Enter the Subnet Mask for SLIP mode
Opens the SLIP Port Setting menu; set values for these parameters:
Baud Rate; default is 9600
Parity; default is None (N)
Stop Bits; default is 1
Flow Control; default is None (N)
Return to the Main Menu
