7.14. DISASSEMBLING THE SADDLE AND STEM GUARD

For the IFI machine refer to chapter 12. "TOP 600 XTPRO IFI"

1. Turn off the machine and unplug the mains
lead from the wall outlet.
2. Pull knob a and slide the machine SADDLE
up to remove.
3. Back off the screw which clamps knob a
using a 4-mm hex T-wrench.
4. Remove knob a and the pin, supporting it
with one hand to prevent it from falling
inward.
5. On both sides of the machine, unscrew the 2
screws b using a large Phillips screwdriver.
6. Remove the three knobs c which fix the
GUARD to the lower member of the frame.
7. Remove the GUARD.
To reassemble the SADDLE and the STEM
GUARD, carry out the above steps in reverse
order.
