5.3.1. IP O
These menus are used to configure the Video over IP settings.
5.3.1.1.
This menu provides the facility to edit the two IP Video out channels.
5.3.1.1.1.
This selects the ASI signal source that can be streamed as IP. Available options are: Off; Mux (from
the video encoder after multiplexer); Video (all of the streams input to the video encoder); or, ASI In
(the physical rear panel connector).
This item defines the IPv4 Address to send the video stream to.
If the video is being unicasted, then the address should match that of the target hardware. If the
video is to be multicasted, the address should be entered in the range 224.0.0.0 through
239.255.255.255 inclusive.
This item defines the port number which should match that which the target hardware is listening
on. The port number may be entered in the range 0 to 65535.
This option allows for the protocol of the video stream to be set to either RTP/UDP (to make use of
Real-time Transport Protocol) or UDP only (to only use User Datagram Protocol).
Real-time Transport Protocol is the more desirable option as it provides facilities for jitter
compensation and detection of out of sequence data arrival.
Select this item to view additional settings.
This setting allows for the number of transport packets to be generated per video over IP packet to
be configured. Valid values range from one to seven.
This option provides the facility to enable or disable the forward error correction.
Note that this item will only be available and displayed if the Encap option has been set to RTP/UDP.
This setting determines the forward error correction depth (also known as rows). Valid values are in
the range of 4 to 20, however the maximum amount allowed will dynamically change to ensure that
FEC d * FEC l is never greater than 100.
