Combined overcurrent and earth-fault module SPCJ 4D24
Low-set overcurrent stage I>
Start current I>, setting range
Seletable modes of operation
- definite time operation
- operate time t>
- inverse definite minimum time (IDMT)
acc. to IEC 60255-3 and BS 142
- time multiplier k
- special type inverse characteristics
High-set overcurrent stage I>>
Start current I>>
Operate time t>>
Note!
If the setting is higher than 2.5 x I
of the IDMT-curves at high current levels must be noted.
Note!
When the high-set stage starts the operation of the low-set stage is blocked, which means that on
heavy fault currents the definite time high-set stage operates rather than the IDMT low-set stage.
Thus the operate time is determined by the t>> setting when the fault current exceeds the I>> setting.
A precondition for the tripping of the I>> stage is that the output signal has been routed to the TRIP
output.
