This manual describes how 10 iosta1l, operate, and maintain the AccuPyc 1330 Pycnometer. The

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION
The AccuPyc 1330 Pycnometer is an easy-to-use, fully-automatic gas displacement pycnometer.
Analyses are initiated with a keystroke. Once an analysis is initiated, data are collected, calcula-
tions performed, and results displayed without further operator intervention. The pycnometer may
be operated in any of four languages: English, German, Spanish, or French. The language used
may be changed by a simple keystroke sequence.
The AccuPyc 1330 Pycnometer's unique run precision feature increases the precision of analysis
results by reporting data from five consecutive runs that are within a user-specified tolerance.
This feature allows early termination of analyses, thereby decreasing the number of runs needed
for accurate results.
The AccuPyc 1330 Pycnometer, shown in the following illustration. contaios a keypad, a display
area, and an analysis chamber (referred to as the cell chamber). The pycnometer is controlled by
commands entered through the keypad. The operational status of the pycnometer can be continu-
ally monitored on the display. The optional printer prints out complete analysis and calibration re-
sults. In addition. aserial port is provided for data transmission 10 other devices.
