CALIBRATING THE AMC TO DISPLAY dBSPL

Firmware and software versions 5.13 and above allow the AMC remote to display dBSPL in
addition to system gain. The relationship between system gain and displayed dBSPL is a user
define value that must be manually input after the system is equalized and each channel
calibrated.
To set the correct dBSPL level do the following:
1. Download the Blue Sky Calibration Test Files at
http://abluesky.com/support/blue-sky-calibration-test-files.
2. Complete EQ'ing and optimizing your speaker system including channel calibration.
3. Follow the Blue Sky Calibration instructions and measure the SPL of the center channel at
the listening position.
4. Without changing the Remote Master Gain setting go into the menu and adjust the dBSPL
setting to match the reading of your SPL meter. Alternately, you can directly enter the value
on the AMC Control software.
5. Click the dBSPL Display checkbox.
6. Repeat for other presets if needed.
7. You will have to repeat the procedure, if you make significant EQ or level changes.
