Receiving DSC calls

Receiving a Distress Call/Distress Acknowl-

[Example]: Receiving a Distress Call.
When a Distress Call is received:
The emergency alarm sounds for 2 minutes.
"RCVD DISTRESS" pops up and the backlight blinks.
Push [ALARM OFF] to stop the alarm and the blinking

backlight.
Push a softkey to select your desired action.

Push to return to the normal operating mode.
• The transceiver exits the DSC mode.
• By pushing [PTT], the transceiver also exits the DSC mode.

" continues to blink and the Call is stored in the Received
Call Log.

Push to display the Received call information. (p. 58)
[ACPT]
Push to accept the call.
And then, push [CH 16] to switch the operating channel
to Channel 16, and then monitor it, as a coast station
may require assistance.
• Even if you haven't pushed [CH 16] within 10 seconds, the
operating channel automatically switches to Channel 16. (p.
