When a paper feed command is sent to the printer, the
paper feed motor receives stepping pulses (+24 V dc
or +30 V dc, depending upon model) from the system
board.
The motor turns in a reverse direction momentarily to
let the feed arm assembly drop from a home (latched)
position. This lets the pick roll gear to engage. At this
point, the paper feed motor changes direction to feed
paper from the sheet feed using the pick rollers.
