Chapter 3 Interfaces and Communications
There are totally four 64-pin flat cable sockets: The
upper-left one provides Channels 1 ~ 16; the upper-
right one Channels 17 ~ 32; the lower-left one
Channels 33 ~ 48; the lower-right one Channels 49 ~
63. The upper row of pins of each 64-pin socket is the
positive end of the differential signals, and the lower
row the negative end. It takes two pairs of pins to
provide one pair of E1 channels, the left pair serving as
the transmitting ends and the right pair serving as
receiving ends. Namely, the upper-left 64-pin socket
serves as the following status: From the left to right,
Channel 1 transmits, Channel 1 receives, Channel 2
transmits, Channel 2 receives, Channel 3 transmits,
Channel 3 receives, ... Channel 16 transmits, Channel
16 receives. The lower-left one serves as the following
status: From the left to right, Channel 17 transmits,
Channel 17 receives, Channel 18 transmits, Channel
18 receives, Channel 19 transmits, Channel 19
receives, ...... Channel 32 transmits, Channel 32
receives. The upper-right one serves as the following
status: From the left to right, Channel 33 transmits,
Channel 33 receives, Channel 34 transmits, Channel
34 receives, Channel 35 transmits, Channel 35
receives, ...... Channel 48 transmits, Ch

There are totally two 64-pin flat cable sockets. The
upper one provides Channels 1 ~ 16, and the lower
one Channels 17 ~ 32. The upper row of pins of each
64-pin socket is the positive end of the differential
