SDH link rate, whichever is smaller (less the encapsulation
efficiency. The encapsulation of the equipment is 85%).
Performance Index of Ethernet L2
Switching Function
The performance indexes of Ethernet L2 switching function
contain:
Transmission Performance
Transmission performance refers to the transmission index of
entering the SDH after the L2 switching.
The
link
bandwidth
granularity is VC-12 and VC-3.
L2 switching Address Caching Capability
The capability refers to the capability of caching the MAC
address in each port/module/node. The cached MAC address
enables the frame not to be discarded or broadcast during
the forwarding.
Address table establishment rate. Up to 1,000 per second at
the GE interface.
VLAN Quantity
At the convergence node, the number of VLANs is 4 K.
At the end node, the number of VLANs is 255 or 4 K
(optional). The value ranges within 1 ∼ 4,094.
L2 Switching Packet Loss Rate
It is less than 0.02% (including the L2 switching and
mapping/de-mapping process).
Trunking and bandwidth assignment
The L2 switching Trunking function complies with the IEEE
802.3 2000 Edition. The maximum number of convergence
links in the SDH mapping/de-mapping direction is 8.
For
the
single-node
uplink/downlink assignable bandwidth of the SDH is 622
Mbit/s, the ES board supports the VC-3 and VC-4 granularity,
the uplink transmission bandwidth of the ESD board is 2 ×
155 Mbit/s, and the ESD board supports the VC-3 and VC-12
granularity.
