The BSP implements the configuration of the processor and
its relevant resources, including hardware initialization,
interruption setting, clock and memory mapping. This
enables the processor to work normally and the RTOS to run
normally on the processor. The drive of other universal
hardware devices is enabled by the hardware related
subsystem in the END form.
For the Ethernet switching/transparent transmission board
(ESDGE/ESS8E/ETS8E), the BSP provides the VCG and LCAS
configuration functions.
The virtual concatenation group (VCG):
The VCG is a protocol unit that the Ethernet service maps to
the SDH, and the mapping protocols are GFP, LAPS or PPP. A
VCG can correspond to one or more switching Ethernet
uplink ports, and also it can correspond to one or more
transparent transmission Ethernet user ports. Usually, it
corresponds to an Ethernet port. A VCG can be configured
with many SDH time slots (1-63VC12 or 1-3VC3), and the
relationship of the time slots is virtual concatenation. A VCG
corresponds to the Ethernet service connection between two
NEs. The N VCGs of the ESDGE can interwork with the N
ESS8Es of the ONU in the OLT, and interwork with the N
ETS8Es of the ONU.
The link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS):
A VCG can configure many SDH time slots (1-63VC12 or 1-
3VC3), and the relationship of the time slots is virtual
concatenation.
The corresponding bandwidth of 1–63VC12 is (1-63) × 2.176
Mbit/s, and the corresponding bandwidth of 1-3 × VC3 is (1-3)
× 48.384 Mbit/s. The dynamic adjustment is enabled.
The VCG bandwidth adjustment is enabled by increasing or
decreasing the VC12 or VC3 statically in the NMS.
If some faults occur to a VC12 or VC3, or the faults have
been
processed,
transmission board (ESDGE/ESS8E/ETS8E) can remove/add
the channel from/to the VCG automatically, thus enabling the
dynamic adjustment of the bandwidth.

management on the RPR line card. It also implements functions
related to the control panel, including the RPR-related protocols,
hardware interfaces and NM. The subsystem interacts with the
NMS
via

The RPR software subsystem contains the control subsystem and
bearer subsystem.
