TLS/L2 Switching
Performance Index
This section describes TLS performance index, Performance
Index of Ethernet L2 Switching Function, Performance Index of
Ethernet Interface

TLS Performance Index

TLS performance indexes contain:
Packet Loss Ratio
Packet loss ratio indicates the ratio between the Ethernet
packets failing to be transferred and the total Ethernet
packets to be transferred because of resource shortage
under the stable continuous load.
When the corresponding port for the equipment at subscriber
premises goes through line-speed processing, and actual
bandwidth of the SDH link is not less than the bandwidth for
the subscriber premises, 64-byte packets are used for testing,
and the packet loss ratio should not be more than 10-6.
Delay
Delay refers to the time interval between the transmitting of
the test frame with a time stamp by the test equipment and
the receiving of the test frame by the tested node. When the
64-bite packet is used for testing, the end-to-end delay of
the single network node is not more than 1 ms.
Forwarding Rate
At an appropriate load, you can view the rate of frame
forwarding between the user port and SDH link in the tested
node. The node forwarding rate can be the user port rate or
