It receives the command from the NMS and implements such
functions
as
configuration
management, fault management and security management.
The L2 switching subsystem is also managed by the core
board. Through the core board, it obtains the command from
the NMS. Besides, the network management subsystem also
provides network management in the console-based CLI
mode.
The
SDH-based
management function (the information channel is managed
through the ECC), so it does not provide the Web and Telnet
management mode. The network management subsystem
also forwards the performance, status and alarm information
of
the
ES
board
software/hardware running status of the system, and
implements corresponding processing when some faults
occur to the system. It enables the performance statistics
based on the RMON. On the other hand, the network
management subsystem also supports the relevant MIBs.
L2 protocol family subsystem
The switching of the ZXA10 S300 is based on the L2, so the
switching protocol family consists of the L2 protocols and L2
switching relevant functions. The protocols include GARP
(GVRPGMRP), STP, and Trunking (LACP, Maker), and the L2
switching functions include IGMP Snooping, address learning
and port statistics.
Database subsystem
It implements the storing and application of the EOS
configuration data and L2 switching relevant data.
Hardware related subsystem
It implements the management and operation of the
hardware devices, the hardware initialization, guarantees its
normal running, and provides data channel for upper-level
application.
SDL operating system
It encapsulates the RTOS, provides a unified system platform
for the upper level, ensures the operating system irrelevance
during the upper-level application, and implements the inter-
board communication. On the ES board, its major function is
to provide data channels for the network management part
to manage the information. In the ZXA10 S300 system, the
core board and line cards all use the unified SDL system
platform, which ensures the unified massages of the line
cards, and facilitates message processing. The system
irrelevance also facilitates the migration of upper-level
application.
