Service transparent transmission protection:
Use the protection provided by the SDH directly, including
unidirectional MSP and SNCP.
Switching networking protection
Comply with the STP.
ATM VP Protection Criterion and
Index
VP Protection Criterion of ATM
VP protection of ATM is a protection at the VP link level. It is
to protect service failure of the physical layer and VP layer.
To improve switching efficiency, several VPs with the same
source and destination can be combined to form a VPG for
switching.
Switching conditions
ATM layer alarm: VP-AIS
Physical layer alarm: LOS, LOF, LAIS, LOP,LCD
Guard Period
Guard period: Less than 50 ms.
Hold-off time: The waiting time between the detected service
failure to switching protection. If the service is restored
during this period, no changeover is required. The range is 0
∼ 10 seconds. The step is 500 ms, and can be set.
Wait-to-restore
recovery and failure status removal. During this period, the
service failure status will not be removed if the service fails.
The range is 1 ∼ 30 seconds. The step is a minute, and can
be set.
