2.2.3 Configuring the NMS

Context
You can specify an alarm account for the network management system (NMS). When your
telepresence system reports its alarms to the NMS, the NMS authenticates it based on this alarm
account. The NMS alarm account is used to upload telepresence system status and alarm
information to eSight.
Procedure
Step 1 Click Device Control to display the device topology.
Step 2 Right-click Telepresence Host and choose Configure NMS from the shortcut menu.
Step 3 Specify the user name and password for the NMS alarm account.
The user name and password must be the same as those defined on the NMS. The default user name is
tpAlarm, and the default password is tpAlarm@123.
Step 4 Click Save.

2.2.4 Configuring the Devices

Context
You must configure the devices in the TP3106 independently from the Telepresence System
Manager.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the Telepresence System Manager as the super administrator.
Step 2 Click Wizard, and follow the instructions to set the parameters. You can also configure the
following devices independently from the device topology:
l Codec: Set the network parameters for the codecs.
l Serial port: Set the device connected to every serial port on the telepresence host.

Description
Enter the center codec internal or external IP address to connect the codec
to the telepresence host. The internal IP address is recommended.
Enter the right codec internal or external IP address to connect the codec
to the telepresence host. The internal IP address is recommended.
