Operation and Administration
The available values are 7, 15, 31, 63, 127, 255, 511 and 1023.
The default value is 15.
Maximum Contention Window
The Maximum Contention Window parameter defines the upper limit for
the maximum number C used in the back-off algorithm as described in
Minimum Contention Window above.
The available values are 7, 15, 31, 63, 127, 255, 511 and 1023.
The default value is 1023.
Short Frame Multicast Rate (AU only)
The Short Frame Multicast Rate parameter defines the rate of transmitting
multicast and broadcast frames that are shorter than 500 bytes. Multicast
and broadcast transmissions are not acknowledged; therefore if a
multicast or broadcast transmission is not properly received there is no
possibility of retransmitting. It is recommended that you set a lower rate
for broadcast and multicast frame transmissions to increase the
probability that they are received without errors.
The available values for SU-A-54-VL are 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 54
Mbps. For SU-A-24-VL the available rates are 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 Mbps.
The default value is the lowest available rate, 6 Mbps.
Long Frame Multicast Rate (AU only)
The Long Frame Multicast Rate parameter defines the rate of transmitting
multicast and broadcast frames with at least 500 bytes. Multicast and
broadcast transmissions are not acknowledged; therefore if a multicast or
broadcast transmission is not properly received there is no possibility of
retransmitting. It is recommended that you set a lower rate for broadcast
and multicast frame transmissions to increase the probability that they are
received without errors.
The available values for SU-A-54-VL are 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 54
Mbps. For SU-A-24-VL the available rates are 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 Mbps.
