2.3.2 Reset Circuit

Figure 2-16 shows the reset circuit, which is used to reset the controls. immediately after power on and
power off, the +5 VDC line voltage drops and the reset IC (IC9, M51953AFP) outputs the reset signal from
pin 6 (OUT port) into the digital board.
/INIT signals sent thorough the parallel interface by an external device are also input to gate array E02A14
(IC4) (pin 2, /INIT port) to output the reset signal to resetting the scanner.

2.3.3 Photo-Sensor Circuit
Figure 2-17 shows the photo-sensors circuit block diagram.
There are two photo-sensors and they have the circuit respectively. Table 2-5 shows two photo sensor
circuit's function, status, and signal levels.

Detects the home position of the carrier

Sub
Detects either the film carrier is installed or
not, and home position of the film carrier.
