Basic Video Settings
Video Adjustment Options
Option
Usage
RGB
Move the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) slider bars to adjust the corresponding color component of the video image. Check
the Set to Grayscale box to display the video of the remote computer without color. If the remote keyboard and mouse
response time is slow or choppy, the Set to Grayscale option can speed it up.
Gamma
Adjusts the video display's gamma level. This function is discussed in greater detail in the Gamma Adjustment section.
Performance
Use the slide bar to select the type of internet connection the local client computer uses. The switch will use that
selection to automatically adjust the Video Quality and Detect Tolerance settings to optimize the video display quality.
Because network conditions vary, if none of the pre-set choices appear to work well, use the Video Quality and Detect
Tolerance slider bars to adjust the settings to suit your conditions.
Video Quality
Drag the slider bar to adjust the remote computer's overall video quality. On slower networks, lowering the video quality
can help improve keyboard and mouse response time.
Enable Refresh
The remote screen can be set to be redrawn every 1 to 99 seconds, which eliminates unwanted artifacts that would
otherwise remain on the screen. Click the Enable Refresh box to activate this feature, then enter the desired refresh rate.
Transparency
Adjusts the transparency of the Remote Session Toolbar displayed when the [Scroll Lock] [Scroll Lock] hotkey is initiated
in a remote session. Move the slider bar until the transparency is set to the desired level.
Detect Tolerance This setting governs allowable pixel changes. A high setting limits changes, resulting in lower video quality and less
data transfer. A low setting allows more changes, resulting in higher video quality and greater data transfer. On slower
networks, a high detect tolerance setting can help improve keyboard and mouse response time.
Preset / Custom
The Preset and Custom buttons set and save custom video settings, and revert to default video settings.
