Enabling displaying the copyright statement

This feature enables the device to display the copyright statement in the following situations:
•
When a Telnet or SSH user logs in.
•
When a console, AUX, or modem dial-in user quits user view. This is because the device
automatically tries to restart the user session.
The following is a sample copyright statement:

Configuring banners

Banners are messages that the system displays when a user logs in.

Banner types

The system supports the following banners:

Remarks
By default, the device uses the NTP time
source.
If you execute the clock protocol command
multiple times, the most recent configuration
takes effect.
By default, the time zone is not set.
After you set the time zone, the device
recalculates the system time. To view the
system time, use the display clock
command.
This setting must be consistent with the time
zone of the place where the device resides.
By default, the daylight saving time is not set.
After you set the daylight saving time, the
device recalculates the system time. To view
the system time, use the display clock
command.
The settings must be consistent with the
daylight saving time parameters of the place
where the device resides.
