Both reliability and precision timing are critical in High Availability Networks controlling process

automation. The RS950G with IEEE 1588 v2 transparent clock is capable of 1µs accuracy.

Multicast IEEE 1588 v2 timing packets are handled with high priority to ensure accuracy and

eliminate timing jitter. This example shows the use of both RS950G devices and the RuggedNet™

OEM module.
