4.10 Log Window

The Log window lists a mix of time-stamped commands, responses, administrative information, and
error messages. These entries provide a history of the experiment that is automatically saved with the
experiment.
Default Log window columns
Date / Time:
Event Type:
Event Parameter:
Paradigm Data / Series:
Experiment Category:
Additional Log window columns
User Name:
Host Name:
OS & Version:
Software & Version:
Log ID:
Right-click menu (on a column header)
Search for Text:
Select columns to show:
Sort on this column:
Default view:
Right-click menu (on a Series data row)
Analyze Series:
Right-click menu (on a Paradigm data row)
The Date / Time-stamp format:
Year-Month-Day Hours:Minutes:Seconds
Example: 2016-04-25 14:21:34.478
Log entries are assigned an Event Type:
Data Acquisition
History
Routine
Startup
WriteMeta
...
A text description of the log entry line.
Paradigm, Routine and data Series names are displayed
The Experiment Category # value(s) set in the Metadata.
The name of the user logged onto the computer.
The name of the computer.
The operating system and its version number.
The SutterPatch application name and version number.
A unique identifier to help sort Date / Time duplicates.
A Search Log dialog opens with multiple text search options.
Enable or disable the display of any columns in the window.
Alphabetically sorts the entire window based on the selected col-
umn.
Restores the Log window's default view.
Opens the named Series data into a Scope window for analysis.
