4. Connect the shielding material to the headstage ground connector. This can be done using
a short wire with alligator clips on both ends.
Startup
1. Power ON the IPA amplifier by pressing the silver POWER button on its front - it lights up.
2. Launch the SutterPatch application.
3. Click on the 'Start' button in the SutterPatch Welcome window.
4. SutterPatch loads up in DEMO mode if the IPA amplifier is OFF or disconnected from
the computer.
5. Create an Experiment file name when prompted.
6. Check the IPA Control Panel.
a. If the title bar in the IPA Control Panel reads DEMO (see Error! Reference
source not found.), uncheck SutterPatch > Demo Mode and wait for about 3
seconds.
b. Make sure that the IPA Control panel is in the voltage-clamp operational mode
- click on the VC button at the top of the IPA Control panel.
7. Run a Membrane Test
1. Go to the Dashboard window:
