A: REMOVAL

1) Set vehicle on a lift.
2) Open front hood fully, and support with stay.
3) Disconnect battery ground terminal.
4) Move gear shift lever to "N", and release the
parking brake.
5) Remove air intake duct and cleaner case. (Non-
turbo model) <Ref. to IN(SOHC)-8, REMOVAL, Air
Intake Duct.> and
REMOVAL , Air Cleaner Case.>
6) Remove air cleaner case stay. (Non-turbo
model)
7) Remove intercooler (Turbo model) <Ref. to
IN(DOHC TURBO)-10, REMOVAL, Intercooler.>
8) Disconnect the following connectors.
(1) Neutral position switch connector
(2) Back-up light switch connector

(5) Transmission ground terminal.
9) Remove snap pin and pin from the drive select
cable.
