Mode of Operation
NON-CONTINUOUS - The Uscan enforces non-continuous scanning to maintain safe user enclosure contact
temperatures. Non-continuous scanning is enforced as the enclosure temperature approaches 48°C.
Warning
 After storage at extreme temperatures, check the transducer surface temperature before applying to a
patient. A cold or hot surface may burn a patient.
Caution
 Only operate, charge and store Uscan within the approved environmental parameters.

Power Supplies (Chargers)

For the Uscan probe, and tablet the power supply is Signostics Power Supply P003198
 Input: 100-240V AC supply 50-60Hz
 Output: 5.0V ±0.25V at 2.0A maximum current
The Uscan tablet display may also use the optional HP 18W AC power supply.
 Input: 100-240V AC supply 50-60Hz
 Output: 12.0V ±0.25V at 1.5A maximum current
For the optional Uscan mobile stand, the power supply is Signostics Power Supply P004016
 Input: 100-240V AC supply 50-60Hz
 Output: 12.0V ±0.25V at 1.5A maximum current

Internal battery

Signostics Li-ion Polymer Cell
Description: Rechargeable lithium polymer battery
Rating: 3.7V 1350mAh
For the Uscan tablet display, the battery is a 21WHr Li-ion Polymer type.

Measurement accuracy

Measurements reflect a physical property such as area or volume for interpretation by a clinician. They do not
account for variations in acoustic speed of the body, which can vary significantly.
