Signostics recommends the use of Aquasonic 100 Ultrasound Transmission Gel manufactured by Parker
Laboratories, INC. Fairfield, New Jersey 07004.

Recommended ultrasound probe sterile sheaths

Where fluid contamination is possible, the ultrasound probe shall be covered with an appropriate sterile sheath,
which will promote asepsis and minimize cleaning. Refer to
covers in your country.

 Be aware of latex allergy. Some commercially available transducer covers contain latex. Refer to the
US FDA alert title: "Medical Alert: Allergic Reactions to Latex-Containing Medical Devices", issued
