All thermocouple extension cables
connecting to the Rolling Inductor
must be grounded 3-Prong cables.
Do not touch live electrical parts.
Do not touch or handle induction
coils/cords/or cables during opera-
tion.
Keep metal jewelry, watches, rings,
steel toed shoes, and other metal
items away from induction coils/
heating device during operation.

Coupling distance
Position Rolling Inductor face within .3125 in (8 mm)
of the workpiece. When Rolling Inductor is positioned more
than .3125 in. (8 mm) from the workpiece, the Rolling Inductor
must be monitored visually for overheating.

The liquid-cooled Rolling Inductor is de-
signed for 100% duty cycle at 300 Amps
which provides approximately 20 KW de-
pending on coupling to the workpiece.
NOTICE −A single Rolling Inductor ar-
rangement requires a thermocouple exten-
sion cable, and a Rolling Inductor connec-
ted to a power source.

NOTICE −Start part travel before energiz-
ing the Rolling Inductor. Failing to do so
may damage equipment and/or the work
piece. Pipe should be rotating away from
the Rolling Inductor as shown.
NOTICE −Only use the Rolling Inductor
with a Miller ProHeat power source.

Ensure all four wheels are touching the
workpiece when setting up device to
achieve optimum results. During oper-
ation, all four wheels might not touch
workpiece at the same time due to im-
perfections and/or shape of the
workpiece.
