Cleaning the Deodorizing Filter

To maintain deodorizing performance, frequent washing is recommended.
 If the odor from the air outlet becomes a bother, clean the deodorizing fi lter immediately.
1
Remove dust from the surface
Remove using a vacuum cleaner.
Lightly clean using the nozzle brush of the
vacuum cleaner and vacuum the dust.
2
Soak the deodorizing filter
Soak in water or lukewarm water (below 40°C) for about 3 hours.
Note
After soaking, some deodorizing agent granules might fall out. However,
the deodorizing performance will not be affected.
Do not remove the deodorizing filter from its case.
This will damage the filter.
Do not scrub using a brush.
This will damage the filter.
Do not use any detergent.
The detergent smell will cling on to the deodorizing filter and may
damage it.
3
Dry the deodorizing filter
Dry properly in a well-shaded area. (Place it in a well-ventilated area for about 1 day)
Do not use when wet. Wipe off any remaining droplets of water.
The water droplets will go out of the air outlet, decreasing deodorizing
effect, and may become the source of odor.
Do not dry using a dryer or heater appliances.
This will cause deformation.
Do not use excessive force on the deodorizing filter.
This will damage the filter.
If the tabs on the case come off, press down the tabs.
4
Set the deodorizing filter and attach the panel on the purifier body
The deodorizing filter is disposable.
There might be some odor left even if the deodorizing filter has been soaked and cleaned.
Replace filter if the odor becomes a bother.
CAUTION
 The deodorizing fi lter cannot remove the odor of harmful substances in cigarettes (carbon monoxide, etc.). or continuously occurring odors.
 Use in places with strong smells such as cigarettes or barbecue will shorten the life of the deodorizing fi lter.
In such a case, be sure to use the deodorizing fi lter while ventilating the room.
