This chapter covers the steps required to install components and perform
maintenance on the SC227HD-R1K28 chassis. The only tool required is a Phillips
screwdriver.
Your system may require the installation of processors, memory, drives or
expansion cards. Other procedures presented in this chapter are for maintenance
or replacement.

Removing the Power
1. Use the operating system to power down the node, following the on-screen
prompts.
2. After the system has completely shut-down, carefully grasp the head of the
power cord and gently pull it out of the back of the power supply.
3. If your system has dual power supplies, remove the cords from both power
supplies.
4. Disconnect the cord from the power strip or wall outlet.
