4. Disassembly
TAPERED ROLLER BEARINGS

CAUTION
Gears should never be removed from intermediate shaft
or output shaft, as this will affect proper gear allignment.
27. Remove tapered roller bearings from intermediate shaft
and output shaft by using a universal puller plate and
pressing bearings off.
REVERSING CLUTCH, GEARS and TAPERED ROLLER
BEARINGS
28. Remove tapered roller bearing from splined end of input
shaft using special tool as follows:
a. Place tool over tapered roller bearing. Ensure jaws of
tool will be pulling on bottom edge of rollers and NOT
on the cage.
