Disassemble the fuel lines from their fittings at the holder at the front left

hand side of the engine bay. Connect both open nipples with a 15 cm (6 in.)
long piece of fuel line to close them.
Apply full throttle. Remove the Bowden cable terminal screw which fixes the

throttle cable distributor to the engine mount. Open the distributor and
disengage the cable leading towards the fuselage.
Remove the propeller-stopper gas strut from its mounting at the engine bay

wall.
Remove the cover plate which covers the control unit. Remove those ty-raps
9.
which fix the wire harness leading from the powerplant to the control unit to
the fuselage. Remove the high voltage plug from the control unit first, then
the plug for the engine wiring. Disassemble the powerplant earthing strap
from the earth bar and open the connector plug for the CHT probe. Secure
the loosened wires to the engine mount so that they won't be damaged when
removing the powerplant.
Lift the powerplant to remove the bolt which attaches the spindle drive and

the gas strut to the engine mount (6mm Allen key wrench and 13mm open
end spanner).
Loosen the 2 bolts which fix the engine mount to the fuselage (19mm socket

wrench). Lift the powerplant to minimize the load on the bolts., Pull out the
bolts and lift the powerplant out of the fuselage, a strong helper is needed.
Rest the powerplant on the muffler. Secure the 2 brass bushes at the hinge
point with ty-raps or tape in the engine mount against loss.
Remove the connector plug (cable harness from the spindle drive) from the

control unit. Remove the bolt which attaches the spindle drive and the gas
strut to the mounting bracket down in the fuselage (Socket wrench and open
end spanner 13mm). Remove the gas-strut and the spindle drive.
Fix the engine retaining cables with Ty-raps to the rear lift pin tube. Fix the

throttle Bowden outer to the fuel line connector holder.
Reinstall the engine doors, close and fix with tape.
