Before Using

Attaching UIM/ Battery Pack
To insert the UIM/battery pack, remove the back cover, then
open the inner cover, and insert. (See page 20)

Insert the UIM.
1. Pull the tab area, and slowly pull the
tray straight out until it stops.
⿠Do not pull out the tray beyond the
position where it stops. You may
damage the tab if you do so.
2. Place the UIM on the tray with the
golden IC surface upward.
⿠Align the cut of the UIM with the
tray.
3. Push the tray until it stops.
⿠Push the tray inward fi rmly until it is
in place.
When you remove the UIM
Pull the tray out and remove the UIM.
⿠While releasing the UIM so that it
lifts off slightly from the tray, take
out the card.

Attach the battery

pack.
With the arrow mark facing
up, fi t the tab side of the
battery pack to the FOMA
Tab terminal securely, and then
push the battery pack in
direction B while pressing it
against direction A.
When you remove the battery pack
Lift the battery up using the projection of it.
If the Tray is Disengaged
Bear in mind that damage may result if you try to force
the battery pack into position while the tray is inclined at
an angle or if it is above the FOMA terminal with a gap in
between.
Cut
1. Position the cutout in the tray
close to the projection in the
battery compartment, and
push the tray in the direction
shown by the arrow.
⿠Push the tray so that it is
parallel to the FOMA terminal.
2. Push the tray straight in.
