Configuring priority marking (available
only on the HPE 3100 v2 EI)
Priority marking sets the priority fields or flag bits of packets to modify the priority of traffic. For
example, you can use priority marking to set IP precedence or DSCP for a class of IP traffic to
change its transmission priority in the network.
Priority marking can be used together with priority mapping. For more information about priority

Configuration procedure
To configure priority marking:

Create a class and
enter class view.
3.
Configure match
criteria.
4.
Return to system view.
5.
Create a behavior and
enter behavior view.
6.
Set the DSCP value for
packets.
7.
Set the 802.1p priority
for packets.
8.
Set the local
precedence for
packets.
9.
Return to system view.
10. Create a policy and
enter policy view.
11. Associate the class with
the traffic behavior in
the QoS policy.
12. Return to system view.
13. Apply the QoS policy.
14. Display the priority
marking configuration.
