Features explained and configuring settings
Periodic test calls
The Caresse allows a periodic test call to be generated either at a configurable period or
at a fixed time. In the configurable period case, the period between calls can range from
seconds through to days. In the fixed time case, the period between calls is a
configurable number of days. When the unit is configured to generate periodic test calls
at a configurable period, the unit will generate periodic test calls at the time the unit is
programmed. To generate periodic text calls at a more appropriate time i.e. during the
night use the fixed time periodic test call (set the unit's clock first) or use PC Connect to
set an offset time.
To enable and configure fixed period periodic test calls, press:
XX is the period between calls = 00 (15 minutes), 01-98 (time in hours), 99 (7 days)
NOTE: The periodic calls will be made at the time the Caresse is programmed.
To enable and configure fixed time periodic test calls, press:
HHMM
HHMM is the time at which fixed periodic call is made
NOTE: The period between fixed calls is fixed at 1 day, unless otherwise altered. The clock in the unit must
be set prior to using fixed time periodic test calls (see page 13).
Away button
The away button as standard is configured to act as a means of activating/deactivating
intruder/inactivity monitoring. Meaning the user should press the button each time they
leave/enter their home in order to activate/deactivate intruder/inactivity monitoring.
Alternatively, it can be configured to act as a fast dial button depending upon the needs
of the individual.
Fast dial button
To achieve this, programme the personal recipient number 4 into the unit, then turn on
the required function. Then upon pressing the away button, the Caresse will call
personal recipient number 4 once.
