FTP
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a protocol widely used on the Internet.
It's a service protocol for transmitting files between hosts on
computer networks. FTP supports multiple file types and formats,
e.g. text and binary file.
HTTP
HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) defines how information is
formatted and transmitted, and the responses of servers and
browsers when different commands are used. All the URLs input in
the browser address bar start with "http://".
Hub
Hub is a shared network connection device providing multiple
network interfaces. It connects multiple computers in a network and
allows data exchange between computers. Sharing means all the
ports of a hub share the fixed bandwidth, so the average data
transmission rate and efficiency per user (port) is restricted by the
number of users.
IEEE
IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) is the most
famous organization form formulating standards for the electronic
and electrical industries.
Internet
As a global network, Internet is used by millions of computers to
exchange data, news and viewpoints.
IP Address
IP address is the 32-bit address in TCP/IP used to identity the host.
There are five categories of IP addresses (A, B, C, D and E), which
are in the 8-bit data format with 4 separations, such as 2.1.1.2.
