Setting the Velocity of Sound

The gauge uses the Velocity of Sound value to calculate the
material thickness value. It is therefore important the velocity
value is set for the material being measured.
If you perform a Calibration (single or two point) the Velocity
of Sound will be set for you during the calibration – so you
don't need to adjust it afterwards.
You can manually set the velocity of sound value if required,
normally you would do this if;
• You can't perform a calibration
• You want to use the same velocity setting as last time
• You want to use a velocity from a material list
