Nortel SCS Installation

The Nortel SCS software comes pre-installed on AudioCodes part code M1K-CH-SCS. This
order code includes the Mediant 1000 basic chassis (with the CMC, PS and accessories) with
the OSN1 Connection module and the SCS preloaded on the HDD.
To connect to the OSN for installing and configuring the SCS software:
1. Connect the device's RS-232 port to your PC and start the HyperTerminal
application.
2. Use a serial communication software (e.g., HyperTerminal
communication link with the device, using the following communications port settings:

3. Connect the Mediant 1000 to the electric power.
4. When the system starts, press CTRL + C and after several seconds this BIOS will be
displayed.

Note: If the SCS software is not pre-installed on the OSN, follow the
instructions in Section 6 Installing Nortel SCS on AudioCodes Mediant 1000
OSN, to load the SCS ISO image on the OSN via CD ROM.
